I've been hoping/wishing that religions could be left completely out of the Caravansary thing; that we would play with silk, architecture, spices, costumes, and such; but of course that's just silly idealistic me.
I'm planning a Baghdad Bazaar look to my camp's facade (money and energy willing), and I sure hope nobody reads anything religious into it. Is there anything I should avoid -- any architectural feature that identifies a house of worship in that part of the world? I'm thinking archways and onion-domes, made of plywood, painted earth tones.

Moar power!
O.o What kind of GPU?

It's an AMD Radeon 7950. It's not the biggest/most powerful card I could have put into the machine, but for me it's the 'sweet spot' of performance bang for the buck. It's got a little more than double the horsepower of the Quadro 4000 that I primarily use now, which will really help with some of the apps I use most. I didn't want to spend too much on the current machine, since the bigger picture plan is to get a new primary machine hopefully within the next 3 months or so.

Ah, I see I have a new name -- Baghdad-Dude, in slightly more modern vernacular.
But you left out the "h" -- Baghdaddio.
So if I build a harem-looking place, will they... show up?

Camels won't feel it. The camel's toes are encased in subcutaneous pads.

As a tribute to, or as a segue from Don Garlits, I think Eliot should be "Big Baghdaddy".

We could start the NHRCA....the National Hot Rod Camel Association, and have camel races.

Reminds me of one of the sister camps from my Space Island days... CamelToepia. And they're great little dive bar, Moose Knuckle Junction, and their big Thursday afternoon shindig - the camel toe fashion show. Ah, the debauchery of it all... :)

Busy Friday ahead, and with off-site meetings as well. Here's hoping all our days go well, smooth sailing and all that good stuff.

**pours coffee for MDF as he reads the latest posts***

Yep. Trilo, there is no rest, but we should be productive. I hope everyone's day is superb as well.

Last weekend, I had a date and made my famous enchiladas for the young lady, which she much appreciated (Not having to cook seems to always be a plus for her). This weekend, I'm going institutional. The Spice Pirates at our Interfuse regional burn have an annual 'welcoming pot-luck" on Friday night, and again I'm on tap to contribute. But, I do it in a BIG way. Two years ago, I began with 10 dozen beef enchiladas. All hand-rolled and homemade by me. 10 dozen GONE in 7 minutes. Last year, the doggone things were disappearing as soon as they made it to the buffet table, and I made 15 dozen in 5 varieties....three dozen each of pork, beef, chicken, cheese, and a veggie special for my vegetarian friends (think jicama root and cactus leaves on the inside).

My goal this year is to have 20 dozen enchiladas for consumption. As a nod to the Spice Pirates, I'm bringing PART of my collection of hot sauces....everything from the wimpy Louisiana hot sauces to Dave's Insanity Sauce (the ONLY sauce ever banned from the Fiery Foods exhibition and show in New Mexico...it's FORTIFIED with capsaicin)...people can pick and choose their sauce, since I'll be making the enchiladas without hot peppers (though I do have a small bucket of fresh serranos and jalapenos that I'll be slicing for those who desire such heat).

Between that and my Interranger activities< i'll be busy at the burn. It should be.......EPIC. Interfuse 2014....riding the edge of chaos once again......my home-town burn.

Yum. Sounds amazing, Rhino! We've had Dave's Insanity Sauce in the house, Larry laps hot stuff up. I adore enchiladas, but tend to only eat the ones I make. Stupid tomato allergy, I can never be quite sure with red enchiladas. I do a nice green chile chicken recipe.

Dang, now I'm hungry. I do have tamales in the fridge. There's a tamale lady and a tamale guy who go door to door here, I always have tamales on hand these days.

Tamales, amigo?

I make my own, in batches.

I have about 4 dozen in the freezer at the moment.

Add my green chili sauce (heat level 3 on a scale of 1 to 10 Scoville Scale), and then, as an appetizer, the butter-browned, BACON quesadilla. I serve those instead of pizza on Super Bowl Sunday.

One of the better sauces ( I think so, anyway) that is on the market right now is from Oak Hills Farms ouside of Atlanta, GA. Scorned Woman. ("hell hath no fury like a scorned woman....")
