Looks like it's gonna pass just to the north of Reno. We had a total eclipse here about two years ago. I drove up to UNR the day before a bought those special glasses.

Yep, it will cut a long swath across a large portion of the U.S., including my home state. I have been looking forward to it for a while now, and at this point it is starting to become tangible. FYI, most motels reserve rooms only one year in advance. Good to see others already enthused!
