I didn't think he was insensed, but did think that it was more of an 'Oh yeah, 'cause I NEVER hear that'

sort of like how I get whenever I tell anyone here that I'm originally from Minnesota: they say "oh yah, sure, you betcha" and I'm like "uh huh... yeaaaaahhh.... 'cause I NEVER hear that"....

oof. the limitations of a written dialogue. No tone. No inflection.

Whatever. Everyone's happy.

I'm trying to get LyLo to stick, Lydia. Think it will work?

HM..

hey, RG: I was meaning to ask you: I have to find a song appropriate for a court jester to sing for a show I have in march...

I've already tapped a few Danny Kaye songs (including Court Jester, of course)...

can I pick your brain? Got anything swimming around in that head of yours that would work?

You talking a period piece? a part appropriate for a musical? or is the sky the limit on genre and content?

right now, I'm open to anything. The show is set in old Ireland (ruled by the Normans)---1405---

I've done a bit of everything for it (I've done this show for 12 years now... each year is a bit different). Like I said, I've done Danny Kaye, I've done 7 Deadly Sins from Camelot, modified something from Cinderella about jealousy... it can't have references in it to current events or whathaveyou, but I'm all about modifications...

just looking for something fresh. any and all ideas are welcome at this point. after 12 years, I'm a little stale...

I'll have to think about it for a bit. Sort through the things that would be appropriate. "The Scotsman" keeps surfacing in my head, but it's a bit wide of the mark.

Well, I'll answer to it now that I know it's supposed to be *me*.

But, honestly, nicknames have never stuck to me.

well, I have a bit of time... I need to let the director know what I'm doing by the end of the week...

I'm also looking for a good limerick... so far, I haven't really been able to find something that really catches me...

(BTW, something kind of bawdy would do nicely... it's a show where the audience drinks---a lot!)

Don't go too nuts... the last thing I want is you killing yourself over my little show... don't stress yourself out about it or anything...

Limericks I can do. How bawdy? and how clever..if they're really drunk a very subtle one will go over them. And how many limericks?

I keep thinking of a song about Robinson Crusoe, too, but the events described there happened in 1681...

"Where did Robinson Crusoe go..with Friday on Saturday night?"

I just want to know how to pronounce it: "lie-low" or "lee-low"?

Now I want to write limericks. Someone give me a subject, or a place name, or a person's name.
