Brie... Man, we stopped at the Denver Farmers Market on the way to the playa last year (I highly recommend this to anyone going through there on Saturday morning) and I bought some brie and fresh, home made mango chutney. Oh, my... that was just something awesome in the mornings out there.
Chutney is actually pretty easy to make. My mother does it regularly to get rid of excess fruit. Pumpkin, apple, tomato--you name it.

Screw the coffee. It's noon. Time for a couple of pints of ghettoblaster ale over at the Cass Cafe. Have fun.

Noon? On the east coast. You're in Detroit and I'm in San Francisco.

Yeah, I know. I keep my clock on my cell phone set on SF time for some reason. So why aren't you drinking at 9:00am?

I'm afraid my boss will lean in close and smell my breath.

Hum. If I eat some raw garlic I should be okay. . .

Garlic and extra onions... Followed by Altoids. Tho it kinda ruins the aftertaste!

Then again, 4 out of 5 experienced drunks drink 100 proof Stoli - more kick, less smell.

And remember - if it's after 8 in SF, it's after 5 PM in Paris...

that's nice of you, Sput, but i for one appreciate that my friend Stuart called her on this. it's a bit of a modus operandi for her. lots of asking, not a lot of contributing. If yer gonna watch my bar, i'd appreciate if the sweet acceptance you wanna extend to everyone includes my friends, ma cheri. even the ornery and surly types. they're actually my favorites.

hi, sue...Hi, crypto.

Hey, Fishy - this place is different these days, isn't it?

i'll just fix myself up a maker's and ginger and settle in the back office here to take care of some paperwork...and i'm taking the hookah with me...

*whirls blender and throws in ice mango chutney and vodka*

A new drink I'm working on called Celong Island Iced Chai.

That's what I wanted to hear. The season is picking up and things are starting to boil up here. You're constantly in our thoughts.

I'm headed out for BBQ (breakfast of champions) in a few, but I'll be around. Miss you lots, sweets.

Kisses to all.

(psst Fishist! We're expecting you up here next!)

I completely agree. I accept Stuart and Joel and Kinetic and DVD and you and Fishy and everyone in exactly the same way. I agree that all uBeR does is take and not really give back. For me, that doesn't matter. This is going to sound all hippy, which I am not, but I have yet to meet someone that I absolutely cannot stand, that I cannot find some reason to be good to.

Some people find this trait absolutely annoying.

Let me add, that if you have a list of people you don't want served in the bar, then it should be posted.

Maybe a floater of Coconut Milk?? And some curry?

Pix more than names, but yeah, behind the bar. Or, hell, maybe print up wanted posters and put them on the barback.

surly, too, GE?

i hear ya Sput. and for the record, i love you.

There is not a bar blacklist. once in a while someone acts like an asshat and someone is always kind enough to suggest altered behavior, then they are mocked and shamed into leaving on their own.

bye, sensei!!

mmmmm..... i really love the chutney-vodka thingy!! thanks, fishy! what's next...?

ps - at work, we are hosting a big fat conference here in June and they decided that the event needs an official drink and they chose me to "through hours of painstaking research and trial and error at the bar, develop a festival drink". wonder why they picked me...?

LOL, tish.

Sure sputnik--I've got 4 iterations and they're lined up across the bar like a serpent.

What's next? I'm still mastering this.
