RD, I can't tell.. are the LODDs that you are sharing supposed to promote a moment of silence for the guy.. or quiet sniggering when we read the description of the actual event? Don't want to be disrepectful if that wasn't the intent...

Just a moment of reflection and a toast! no sniggering especially since I drive a tanker(tender) myself and it seems like a lot of deaths on firelines from accidents with large top heavy trucks the last few years...

That's cool.. and something I can support, knowing the weird circumstances that have caused a couple of logger's deaths in the past few years... <toast>

And RockDad- was that firefighter in Tulsa?
Karine I do not know anymore than what was posted must be a Sarge Creek out there at least near Tulsa. I do know the flags out here in California went to halfmast this morning at the stations.

Just noticed on the LODD they always give a contact number for the dept and chief he was the chief so it states pending
Department Name: Sarge Creek Volunteer Fire Department

Fire Chief: Pending

The pool table is all wood and perfect for the playa. It's not league quality or anything, but its fun to shoot a few games on.

Last year people were playing almost every time I stopped by Swinger's. It was well used. Every bar needs a pool table!

Unrelated to the toasting, but returning to a earlier comment about bubblebath pics.. how about extremely cold swimming? This was taken at Slide Rock Park in Arizona last April :) <shiver>
