I picked the wrong millennium to stop drinking.

Pretty, ain't it?

Very nice meeting you too, Mozy!! You shoulda stayed for
lunch. Made homemade black bean and garbanzo soup.
Here. I brought some for y'all and attached my recipe.

Monkeypoo's Black Bean Soup
(or Poo In The Black Sea Soup)
OMG MONKEYPOO DELICIOUS!!! Get out yer crockpot
and plan on cookin' up this dish for 12 hours on LOW.
It's worth the wait. OMG.
Put these in the crockpot, set on LOW...
2 cups dried black beans
1/2 cup dried garbanzo beans
1 container vegetable broth (or chicken, if you like)
Cut up the following and cook in a frying pan
for about 15 minutes...
2 Tablesoons Olive Oil
1 Tablespoon real butter (melt in frying pan first)
1/2 onion
1 carrot
1 celery stock
1 nice hunk of garlic
After cooking all this up, add the above to the beans in the crockpot.
Cook up some bacon.
Use a whole package. Screw your cholesterol. Make bacon crunchy.
You can use the same frying pan you just cooked up those veggies
in. Won't harm nothing. I cooked up whole package of bacon,
unfortunately only 3/4 of it ended up in the soup.
Add some fresh cracked pepper and some sea salt.
I eyeball it so I can't give you a measurement.
Suit to your own tastes.
Leave the crockpot alone overnight on LOW. When ya wake up,
stir the soup. Stir every now and then until lunchtime.
Make cornbread.
Pour soup in bowl.
Chow down.
I started mine at 7:00pm last night. Ate at 4pm today. Looks kind of weird
- it being black and all. The black beans turn the bacon dark too. Looks
like black poo, but tastes good, hence me naming this "Poo In The Black Sea Soup"
Enjoy.

You need a photo editor to resize the image. Depending on what software came with your computer, you may or may not already have one. A free one that works is Picasa2 from Google.Monkeypoo wrote:OK. I might open the bottle and give somebody a swig if you can tell me how to resize a photo. I am trying to change my avatar pic and I keep getting this message:

Thanks. I will check out Picasa2. I got frustrated figuring out the program on my 'puter, so my friend Starlie of Emerald Frequency (a really cool Indie band) and Recycled Rainbow (an Ohio burner event) did up a bunch for me. I love my friends who enable my technology-challenged life. So, sorry Stargeezer, you don't get a shot of the Kona Coffee Liqueur. I'm not allowed to open the bottle anyway. I made a pact. But y'all can keep staring at the bottle.stargeezer wrote:You need a photo editor to resize the image. Depending on what software came with your computer, you may or may not already have one. Sure is a purdy brown color...

Not a problem. I will just continue sipping on my bottle of Crown Royal as I prefer it anyway. If you are thirsty, you might enjoy a swig.Monkeypoo wrote:So, sorry Stargeezer, you don't get a shot of the Kona Coffee Liqueur. I'm not allowed to open the bottle anyway.

Good morning Pinemom and everyone! **hugs Pinemom**
I am doing fine as rain! Thank you for asking! Back in California. Living with my daughter and new grandson. Looks like I'm back to stay. **plants feet in the dirt, waters them, hoping they'll grow roots** It feels so awesome being a granny. Feels good to be back on the west coast with my family. I miss my east coast burner friends, but I'll see them on the playa. Painting a wooden rocking horse for baby RJ right now. Hoping to get the saddle done today.
Wooden Rocking Horse found at Goodwill: $3.99
Assortment of paints from craft store: $10.00
RJ's smiling face when he's able to ride it: Priceless

I figure ill soak the bluey-purple flowers in vodka for a week or so, then transfer to distilled water to see if additional qualities can be coaxed out.
so far, the vodka is taking on a wonderful pink/lilac colour that would be wonderful even if not psychoactive.
thanks but no tkanksTo discourage morning glory's use as hallucinogenic drugs, some commercial seed producers have started treating seeds with a chemical that will not wash off. This chemical has been known to cause vomiting, nausea and abdominal pain. Seeds are also sometimes treated with Methyl mercury to prevent spoilage. These in themselves are poisonous and can cause liver and neurological damage (to the brain and nerves). Nausea is common even with untreated seeds.

second, the seeds i used were untreated anyways
third, the flowers shouldnt contain the same nauseants as the seeds. even if so, 5-10 flowers would do little more then a tummy rumble for a few minutes.
I have used the seeds for psychedelic use in the past, with varying results (positive, but with some varying nausea at start)
AntiM, feel free to send extra seeds my way. (400 heavenly blues = an enjoyable day)

by becoming an avid reader of the erowid vaults.AntiM wrote:How in the world does one consume 400 seeds and not have tummy troubles?
I'll have to take a picture of them in bloom this summer. They're wonderful flowers.

I have 2 growing indoors on a windowsill, climbing of strings that dangle from the curtain rod. they provide nice colour in the winter months.
to consume them, the best method is to grind them briefly in a coffee grinder, (dont need to powderize, just enough to ensure every seed is now a pile of chunks) then soak in non-cholrinated water for 2-3 hours in the fridge. Filter out seed material (garbage) with a reusable coffee filter, and store liquid in fridge.
drink the liquid whenever ready. youll feel nausea/tummy issues for about 30-50 minutes, then settle down for the day.
