Too true BC. Though I've actually always pictured myself as more of a snowy in owl form. I'm less complaining about the weather, because this year has been extremely mild. They are talking that this January may have the warmest temps on average ever. When I say I hate Minnesota, it's more because I'm bored with it. The twin cities is really one small town in comparison to the rest of the world. Plus there is nothing going on right now, which usually happens during the winter, and I'm just ready to get out of here. Anyway I really just need to work on having some more patience.BigCock wrote:Minnesota is no place for birds Blue. Personally, I had some great moments while living there, but the fact that your eyeballs can freeze solid before you get back into the house with your newspaper is just wrong. I recommend plenty of drugs and alcohol to tide you until you can fly the coop.
Groovy shit EDB! Thanks.

My first winter in MN it froze early and snowed little. I bought a pair of ice skates and went out to Lake Minnetonka, skated for several miles back into coves and all around. The ice pops and groans with a deep sound that scares the heck out of you at first. There were ice boats with thin sails and long rails racing and you could hear the rumble from far away. But the only times I remember people partying and being really social and exciting were in the summer. Like you said, nothing goes on in the winter, except of course snowmobile jumping. I drove down to Chicago frequently for doses of culture.
I don't remember meeting any snowy owls in MN, but there were lots of loons!
How about a Frozen Berkeley
* 1 1/2 oz Light rum
* 1/2 oz Brandy
* 1 tblsp Passion fruit syrup
* 1 tblsp Lemon juice
Blend all ingredients with 1/2 cup crushed ice in an electric blender at a low speed for a short length of time. Pour into a champagne flute and serve.
To the future.

I`ve got family in Minne*so*ta.
I love the way natives pronounce the *so* in *sota*.
Close but not exactly the same as the "ota" in South Dakota.
The sound of it tickles the shit out of me, or gives me a seizure or something. Kind of like hard core "NewYork"ers or Bwahhhhstonians...
I love dialects.
Then there`s uss-foke from Tuhlsuh.
Ugh.
I need tea.

Bad, but it could always be worse. It's a combination of tax questions and a hiring problem...it will get hammered out. The key word is hammered though, it remains to be seen if it's a small hammer or the 30 lb sledge that gets used.

Thanks evil. just recovering from the burns that I got from the bar fire. They say the scars won’t be that bad. And I might be able to keep two of my fingers and one of thumbs. And they say that they can make new Eye lids from some skin from my butt. I’m sure Sensei wasn’t trying to kill me. But he hit me directly in the heart with that Molotov cocktail.Mozy!
Hey man how you been?
Missed all your cool posts in the bar.
One Chai triple spice coming right up!
thanks for the tea.
Hey! How was I supposed to know that you were sleeping behind the bar? I called out, "Hello... I'm setting the bar on fire now..." and got no response.Mozy bonz wrote:I’m sure Sensei wasn’t trying to kill me. But he hit me directly in the heart with that Molotov cocktail.
Jeez Moz, I feel, almost like, ya' know, bad or something.
