Time to get on with my day, gotta get a costume top done by 2ish this afternoon for my gig this eve!
Have lovely days, everyone..
X.I just got it. Norm is a character in a bar show, do not know the name of it. I stopped watching TV altoghether in ther mid seventies so there are a lot of shows that I do not even know the name of. Somewhere in the mid 90s I startrd watching Startrek reruns (Voyager) i the wee hours of the morning when I got off work, but that is all. Funny that.

...........LOST? Why No, I'm Wandering............
Up early in the city, came back for two shooting gigs. Yesterday we shot a documentary about a world war 2 vet who helped establish the Israel Air Force, he and a guy named swimmer bought the first planes to start it. Today some big mucky-muck event, some errands tomorrow then back out to the desert for a whole week.

You're forgetting the endorphin high. People talk of this as a deeply spiritual experience, remember. When I was 8 we went to Canada and in some museum they had a diorama of the Sun Dance, which was definately ouchy. It was also culturally religious. I'm sure that part of it is phisiology*, the endorphin rush. But when you think of all the stuff that we put our bodies through in this culture for all sorts or reasons and of the other stuff tha's been done in other cultures over the centuries, it's probably not as abberant as it seems.Jewel*** wrote:you're kidding........right? no really, how could that not hurt? or is that the point.......enjoying the pain. ouch!
physiology. I don't mean to invent new words, I'm just careless

Well, that's a monsoon. So it represents a lot more rain than we're ever likely to get in a state with yearly average precipitation of 7inches or less. I think it was color as much as anything.

I've been through the brief desert rains. From what I"ve heard of the 98 rains, those were dreadful. more than one day, people stuck in the mud, possible jots problems as they couldn't get serviced.
The monsoon would just be that to the 10th power or something. The lake would come again, and only us fishies would be happy.
