The new WEBSITE

Post by Lifeisshort » Thu Jan 08, 2015 9:11 am

OK, its been a few months and I am going to say it... " I hate (small case hate) the NEW Burning MAN website". I tried to give it time and get familiar with the site. I had hoped with time I would be able to locate items of interest quickly and see what was new at a Glance. To date this is not the Case, I find it difficult to locate anything without taking time to processes each picture. The previous site may have been "Basic"..... but the "Overview format" really worked !! It was simple.....Go there, see what was new in each column and then on with your day.... Am I alone feeling this way?

Not to offend you, but are you using the "hidden" menus up in the top right-hand corner? The little square button of three lines? Then clicking on each item opens the sub-menu. Works pretty OK after a short learning period.

I preferred the old site as well. But, things move forward! Learn to adapt.

Btw, there are other threads on the subject. No need to start a new one. Also, as Trilobyte said, ePlaya is not burningman.org support. Feel free to send the web team a message outlining your concerns. Maybe they will address some of the issues in future updates. Doing so is much better than bitching on a forum! ;)

I think the new site blows as well. But I'm certainly not going to complain about it, at least not to Larry's sycophantic stoned brain-dead begging in-need-of-a-shower hippie minions. I'll bitch about it right here where my concerns will be absolutely ignored.

Here's the thread I started the day it was launched.

I really wasn't sure where to put the thread and had to stop an think for a moment about where it had ended up so I'm not surprised Lifeisshort hadn't seen it or had forgotten about it and stated a new one. Personally I'm just happy to have people agreeing with me ;)

Gotta love search engines.
