I've been around here a bit less in the last few days because I was doing last minute organizational things for my wedding!
American Husband (formerly American Boyfriend) and I met in 2013 when we were members of the same camp. On Friday night a big group of us went adventuring on the playa and everyone else went off to do their own things one by one until it was just us and another friend. I was getting cold so we all headed back to camp. Sam, the other campmate with us, decided to go back out and so it was just the two of us sitting on a couch in the camp dome and Chris shyly asked me "Would you like to cuddle?" So that's how it all started.
What followed was a 12,000km long distance relationship with with lots of Skyping and the occasional international trip to visit each other. In 2014 I spent 10 weeks in the US and we ran a 50 person first time theme camp. Burning Man has become a pretty big part of our lives!
5 weeks ago we spoke to an immigration lawyer to find out how best to go about getting to spend all our time together in the same country. We were expecting to have to file for a fiance visa and wait 6 to 12 months but she said to get married asap! The very next day as I was working out the logistics of said wedding a package arrived from ePlaya's very own TamaraKay with a shoulder wrap and some rings made out of nails salvaged from the man ashes. These were thank you gifts from her Dye With Dignity Indiegogo campaign. My plan for the rings was just to add them to all my other swag on my Camelbak. When I opened the package one of the rings literally fell in my lap. I picked it up and instinctively put it on my finger to see if it would fit. It fit my ring finger perfectly! The other ring was way too big so I messaged TK and asked if I could buy another closer to the right size for Chris and she just sent me a selection of them to make sure I got one the right size! Thank you so much for your generosity TK! I really feel like that package arriving when it did was playadipity. Having those rings added an extra layer of meaning to our ceremony. Chris didn't even think we were going to bother with swapping rings much less that I'd managed to get ones so special.
Here is a picture of me showing off the ring;

Thank you thank you thank you TamaraKay, you're wonderful!!!
