Sol System... in San Francisco this Saturday....

Post by D Matrix » Mon Nov 15, 2004 6:20 pm

...tis a party!! Many of your favorite playa DJs....

Below is the latest and greatest info for our last Sol benefit. This
is our last event for a very long time; everyone involved is pouring
an incredible amount of time and heart into it. We're also breaking
some exciting new ground by incorporating theatrical and multimedia
elements in a way that should really enhance the experience.
Please help us to spread the word! Your friends will be glad you did. ;-)

As always, thank you for supporting Sol.

Rave

Post by Mister Jellyfish Mister » Thu Nov 18, 2004 11:16 am

I'm a burner, but I've never been to a rave or anything at an undisclosed location. From the look of your website it is pretty playa friendly. I'm visiting SF from Reno this weekend so please share more about what this is and if you would recommend it for an old cermudgen like me.

Well hey then!!

This would be PURRRFECT for you to check out for your first time! I highly recommend that you go. I promise there will be no live skinning of sacrificial goats, or any of the other fables so constantly associated with raves :)

The party IS 21 & over... if you go to the Sol System website, it will point you in the right direction.

Have fun in SF!!

peace,
Donna Matrix

Mister, please give us a full report when you get back. Sounds like fun, and so cheap. Make sure to have an evening nap before you go out!

DM, I was there, a good time had by all...the on stage painter was cool...I danced for daze....ya scared us with the liquor shortage early on....but recovered nicely! The hoop girls, awesome as always! Did wonder how many were true burners as not an overwhelming costume turnout...

Goot time!

Post by Mister Jellyfish Mister » Sun Nov 28, 2004 8:54 pm

Very cool time. Great graphics and mostly friendly people. I liked the fire hula-hoop show. I kept gravitating back to the chill room that the Ambient Mafia was "skull fucking" with great tunes from:

Cocteau Twins
The Stone Rose
Love and Rockets
and some English chap singing "all the ducks are swimming in the water..." over and over.

I was wearing some el wire and a sequencer on my left leg. On the public trasport to the party I was asked more than once if it was a bomb. Maybe it's becuase the BART runs through the airport.
