Well, I live in Arkansas, have never been to seattle, but I heard they have a great big tall space needle there! Or are you afraid of heights (like me)?

Seattle is a big place...

Make sure to bring warm clothes. It's cold, wet and miserable right now.

As soon as the general silliness subsides, someone will give you the info you requested, Mikey... in the mean time, allow me to sing you the little number "A sandwich, a roast, mashed potates, and collard greens" from the opera I Eata'....

On my last trip I went up to Fremont and saw the bridge troll. Lots of random artwork in that neighborhood and cool shops. That could make a good morning/afternoon activity.

Being only one night and a Weds at that makes it dicey, but:

Fremont is good suggestion. See the troll and the statue of Lenin (they were stringing lights on it last week). Hit the Triangle lounge for a drink and look at the beautiful neon PRESCRIPTIONS sign behind the bar.

Maybe hit Broadway on Capital Hill during the day, do some walking and gawking. Or/and go downtown and do the Pike Street Market.

While you're downtown, see the Hammering Man sculpture outside of the Seattle Art Museum. Then drive up to the UDistrict and see the dimunitive Hammered Man outside the mythical Blue Moon tavern.

Maybe do the Pioneer Square joint cover thing at night. It's a good deal-- you pay one price and get to schelp around to a bunch of places in the neighborhood, like Doc Maynards or the Fenix. You're right in the area where the WTO protests took place.

Dress warm and have a good time.
