Yes, it's the shortest day and the longest night of the year. Death and rebirth, here comes the sun! Woo hoo, it's about time!

Have a fun day, what little there is of it, and get out tonight to celebrate the darkness. I'm going to a little party in an old church with apple apple cider. Yum.

happy solstice to you too...today was oddly warm. it started out so cold, and then it got actually hot for a while. the chickens were all laying down...which looks really funny.
