Hey, Cowboy, I've got a figure from that series: Samson, God's Muscle Man, "Poseable Action Figure!" "Donkey Jawbone Included!" I'd put up a pic if I had a digicam.

bringing back an old thread

i took these pictures this evening and i thought i'd post them because the colours were just so beautiful and i wanted to share.

Image
Image
these are the rice paddies near my house. the particular hue of green is just so vibrant, and the paddies are (usually) filled with these long, graceful white cranes, which add a beautiful contrast.

Image
mountains are considered sacred in korea, because that is where the spirits of one's ancestors reside, so only temples and graves are built on them (at least that is how i understand it).

Image
you can buy just about anything from the back of a truck in korea. this guy drives around my neighbourhood a lot, selling fruit. i call these propaganda trucks, because when they drive around, they have a loudspeaker that blares out what they are selling, and when i first got to korea, because the tone of voice was quite imposing and serious, i thought they were driving around spreading messages from the government, when in actuality they were just yelling "get your ripe bananas here! peaches, fresh from the farm!"
If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell him is "God is crying." And if he asks why God is crying, another cute thing to tell him is "Probably because of something you did."

http://brightpathweb.net/Vichy/Vichy.html

this place is near a California State Historical Landmark, Vichy Hot Springs.
Jack London used to visit it. The water in this pool stores the collected dreams and higher aspirations of each and every visitor. It gives something back, especially if you swim in its waters. It gives you what you need at the moment. Yes, it does. Water holds thought impressions, especially in remote, quiet places like this. See:
