IB Dave. You are missed. I'm so sorry that it had to come to this. I will giggle and jiggle in your honour.

I keep thinking that this actually does not "have to" happen. We must work to rid society of the stigma attached to mental illnesses like Depression, and improve access to treatment such as the fabulously successful treatment I benefited from.

I got a great thank you card from the DPW today. Snail mail that made me feel warm inside. It was immediately followed by an email that a long time 'Greeter' had passed away. RIP Freddie Smith.

Had to re-create my username and password to be able to virtually hug you all. Greeters have lost many over the past few months including; Ken Lennon (Ken Bear), Freddie Smith, and now our sweet ibDave. It breaks my heart.

Cindy Lou has reached out with a note to Topless Deb and I will fill you in when info is public. There may be some things that we can help with.

Stay safe everyone.

I'm sorry for your loss Unjon. The way you've talked about him on here over the years lets me know he was a one of a kind.

Hey kids, here is something good for this thread. Topless Deb has reached out to me because our Greeters "early burn" piece will be dedicated to the 4 Greeters we have lost this year. My part will be a tribute to ibDave. I get to make a burnable piece about 2 feet by 2 feet. All of you who knew and loved him, please give me your thoughts about what this should include.

So sorry, unjon. That's a good thing you did. I admire you for it and can feel some of your loss.
I had a friend that used take in "strays" for years a time. There's a lot of kids out there that need a real adult in their lives.
People like you and him (RIP: Guy), are the good guys. ((unjon))

(((Unjon))), and my sweet (((Maryanimal)))

I wish sweet memories of them for you both. I lost my daddy when I was 15, and my Mom immediately dove into a bottle. It was much like losing them both. But sometimes when you have to grow up fast, it kicks you into overdrive. That happened to me and it made me get advanced degrees and be independent.

Much love, and many hugs.

Love Merle Haggard. A lot of people check out on their birthday by doing dumb stunts. Merle, probably not.
