Jonathan Demme, RIP. Great director of many great films. Probably used music better than any director. Here's a great scene from his movie Something Wild with The Feelies playing a Bowie cover.

How great is Jeff Daniels in that scene!?

Bruno Selmi's passing is sad. Only he with historic paid off investments and the BMORG itself see the economic value of Gerlach-Empire. Hope the BMORG memorializes him and engages the family heirs to chart a path for the town, geyser springs Esalen II and retired burner ranches. http://www.rgj.com/story/life/arts/burn ... /88367440/

Lost my Mom last September. Although she never made it to the burn, I know she liked hearing my stories and seeing my pictures. One of the last things that I was able to do with her was watch the Man and Temple burns through the live streams.

Mom, you are a classy lady. Loving, supportive, and full of good advice (probably shoulda followed it more). Miss you more than I'll ever be able to express...

Chris Cornell. Suicide, geez. Saw him perform many times, from small club to big arena. His voice sounded even better live than recorded, if you can believe it. My damn generation just can't seem to keep its major artists.

Re: Chris Cornell

He lived here, I knew him with his kids.

And that voice; in a house concert, no amp, all him.

So, so very sad.

Taliesin Myrddin Namkai-Meche, age 23, passed Friday. He is the son of Asha Deliverance, founder of Pacific Domes in Ashland Oregon.

Taliesin, as well as Afghan-Iraq veteran and City of Portland employee Rick Best, age 53, were slain by a white supremacist.

The two slain men, and wounded autistic student and poet Micah Fletcher, age 21, were attempting to defend two young women, one with a headscarf and the other who is African American on a Portland, Oregon TriMet MAX public transit train at rush hour.

Numerous volunteers provided first aid at the scene and assisted police in apprehension of the slayer, Jeremy Joseph Christian, age 35.

The history of Pacific Domes, Ashland and Burning Man are entwined. Our hearts are with Asha.

B Man? That was in 1966 when the first episode ran. It seems cheesy now, but was very cool in it's day. 8)

Otto Warmbier has passed at age 22. He was arrested in North Korea in January 2016. He returned in a coma in June 2017.
