Rest In Peace
Re: Rest In Peace
Soooooo sad to hear this horrible news, Unjon.
Please tell your son there are lots of Burners sharing his sorrow, and yours.

Rest In Peace MikeGyver
We (DWD,404,BDC & all who knew him) are reeling in grief with your passing. We will miss you forever and camp will certainly miss your skills and quiet wit.
I personally will miss giving you a hard time, our inside jokes and serious discussions. A piece of my heart was crushed today. It feels unbelievable but it’s all to real and you were way to young to leave us...

Re: Rest In Peace
Rest in Peace MikeGyver. Omni-competent burner. I remember being in a cluster of clueless folks, standing around perhaps 8 unassembled shade shelters, waiting for activation, when Mike just walked in, started picking up parts and placing them in more understandable locations, not saying anything, just making sense of things for the rest of us, and breaking up the logjam. If he could fix something, as was likely, he would do it. A huge loss.

Re: Rest In Peace
I hope this is my last trip to the Temple to post a memorial in my lifetime.
My father, Korean War combat veteran. and 20+ year peacetime soldier, peacefully passed away this Monday morning. He was almost 90. He was in assisted living for almost two years, but suffered a rapid decline in the last 10 days. He was not suffering and was mobile with assistance as late as Saturday afternoon.
He and Mom are together again.

Re: Rest In Peace
A beautiful, young 9 year old boy was lost in a drowning accident on the Feather River. I had the pleasure of being good friends with his father and it has hit me really hard thinking about what agony he must be feeling.
I've reached out and donated to the fundraising account, but it never feels like enough....
