Fuck, well i don't know all the details, but i do know that i love Badger and that he adds a huge amount of color and wisdom to these boards. yes, he is challenging, and yes he is intense, but isn't that good?

and stuart leaving is not acceptable. it's just not.

Yeah, I hear you Sensei. It seems like the good conversations are drying up fast these days.

I've not made any conscious decision to leave this month, but i find that I'm here less and less.

It's a bit sad, really.

On through Portland I'll hook you up. Place to crash (your own room probably at this point), hot tub in the back, two cats and a fireplace. Plus I know of a REALLY good, REALLY cheap killer Mexican food joint. And, the worst strip clubs in Portland. Puts the "E!" back in 'dive'.

What the hell is everyone talking about the Badg getting the boot? WTF, what the hell did he do? He and I are civil to one another, but with no love lost over the book cover incedent thingy a couple a years ago, and I thought he was just an ass, and he probably thought the same of me, but oh well that's life. Now I hear that he got banned from here, impossible. I met K at the M&G last year, he seemed nice enough, a little quarky but who here isn't? Lucy, you got some splaining to do.....

There are a few eplayans I can live happily without... even one of those "precious" Seattle eplaya women, a ranger or two, etc.
Always liked Sensei, DVD, Technopatra, Rian, Sparkletarte, Simply Joel, unjonharley, a few others...
But I'm RARELY here anymore either.
Who cares about a week hiatus? I (of all people) can't speak for Badger, but I doubt he's crying about it. I think EVERYONE needs at least a week out of here now and then. Not as a punishment, just a vacation.

Look, if you're going to start a rumor, at least make it believable. You KNOW the film is at 10.

I'll clarify a little... I'm sure ALL of us have our more and our less favorite personalities here and anywhere else.
When you build up more than a few "less favorites", a vacation can do a lot of good.

Well.

I don't know what to say. Oh wait, yes I do (since I'm rarely speechless). This is from a pm I sent to someone the other day:
I prefer to believe people are doing good rather than evil, and telling the truth rather than lying. I think it would be far more awful to call Tancorix a liar and find out what he's saying is true, than to believe what he's saying is true and than find out he made it up.
I don't care how smart you are, it's not okay to make malicious comments towards other people. If you're that smart, you ought to know better.

And the funny thing is I'm sure if I met all of the people involved (and heck, everyone else around here), I'd find something good and likeable in every one.

Fuck.

Personally, I feel shitty for being involved on 'that thread' now, even though at the time I was trying to lighten it up and be objective.

I like it here. Other people fighting or carrying on in a way that I find unacceptable isn't going to make me not come here. Otherwise I'd never leave the house.

Fuck, my poor honey had some x-rays at chiro and found out two of his lower vertebrae have been seriously degenerating. He's had a pinched nerve for a while and thought it was sciatica but now has found out his back is in serious trouble. This will be hard for him- he's very sporty and used to be a pro mountain biker so it's really quite the blow. Everything he does is really active and high impact. The chiro said he has to go on a two year plan to get his back back in action. Big reality check for the 40 year old who thinks of himself as 20.

Sparkle, I hate to break it to you, but chiropractic isn't really science either. Take him to a real doctor for treatment. Most chiropractors have fewer than two years of undergraduate schooling, at unaccredited schools. I wouldn't really trust my health to one of them. They only get to call themselves "Doctor" because there's no way to stop them.

Take him to a real doctor.

Fuck, sparkletarte, tell your boy to be careful, the ex had to have a fusion and it was/is not a good time. I have been lucky with no back problems but I have 30 something friends (bike types) that are going through hell.

I stopped doing the MB bit when the kid lost interest (way too slow for mw) but still have a nice free-ride in the garage. I am a roadie at heart. I ride a crit level bike when I have a chance. Spring is coming!

Excuse me Ranger, but my brother in law is a chiropractor and he graduated from a four year state college. Then went on to a credited chiropractic school for another four years.

I hate to say it but I'm really starting to get sick of your constant judgements about how people live their lives. You are intitled to your opinion, but you seem to keep making broad statements about things that I think you really don't know a whole lot about.

Where are you getting this information? Do you have reliable statistics? Cites?

Why is it so hard for you to let people have their own opinions if they are not in line with your opinion. If sparkletartes SO believes that a chiropractor will help him, why should YOU care? He's an adult and can make his own decisions. It seems to me that you are tying to force your opinions on others because you believe they are right. And frankly I don't like being preached at.
