We've been friends with a couple for more than 20yrs, they are mid-40's been married since she was 16. He is rapidly dying of lung cancer that has moved into his brain. He went from okay-ish to not recognizing people in a week. He won't be here much longer and she is holding up the best she can, they were both self employed so no health insurance.

We spent the evening of the 4th sharing stories and laughing with her.

She's living my worst FUCKING nightmare.

Thanks ya'll. He refuses to go back to the hospital. Why die in that fucking prison when you can be at home? His family isn't happy about his wishes to not go back to the hospital. IMO, they can go fuck themselves.
His last really lucid day was their anniversary. He went out and bought her a pellet gun to shoot squirrels. Now, he cannot stand on his own and it appears his kidneys are failing.
He's only 46yrs old, he looks more like he's 80.

End of life was at the hot end of a cutting torch, cutting the barrel in half. The gov't sells the cut up pieces as scrap and does this to prevent reweaponization. Hah! The projectiles are cut from their cartridges for the same reason. Hah Hah!
They obviously didn't think this one out...
I chucked up the barrel in the lathe and threaded it. Bored and threaded a breech cap. Reweaponization complete.
The blast is the loudest thing I've heard short of a howitzer.
It blows thru a 10 inch fir tree without sneezing.
The projectile endcaps unscrew to allow special payload additions.
