Hi! Are new theme camps that are applying for placement this year invited to the Steward's Sale (formerly DGS)? Or is this only for established theme camps that are returning?

I *think* I read on the ticket FAQ that they were having a second sale in the summer for newly formed Theme Camps.

Did they sell out of those tickets ?

Steward sale is allotted to Camps that are returning in good standing; the Camp Lead assigns those tickets to reliable, core folx who can afford to purchase. So, Steward sale: allotted number of tickets; assigned to Camps to allocate amongst their team. Two day window to purchase. There is no 'selling out'.

The new, later in the summer sale for new Theme Camps has never happened before; who knows how that will work.
I *think* the idea is that new camps try for tickets through the Main Sale/Ticket Aid, then if they still need tickets for their core (to build/run the camp) they could be considered for the summer sale?

*note, the Steward sale is not meant to populate the camp, it is designed to allow the core group of builders access to tickets. In our camp of ~40, we would get maybe 10 spots in Steward sale.

Hmmm so I need to recruit 3 strangers (or just three burner friends I’d be sure they understood the curation process, and my reasons if I excluded them.) for each of my friends I want to burn with and maybe form my own camp in perpetuity so me and friends never stop attending? When will they just get real, sell memberships and have a private club? Oh wait: Fly Ranch.
