There’s a very old and deep part of the human mind that craves art, music, and dance. It is the mission of CENOTE to bring out this primal energy in the citizens of Black Rock City!

The brainchild of a cohort of musicians and artists hailing from Mexico, France, Nepal, and the US, CENOTE is excited to share with the playa an intimate sound art space inspired by the natural phenomena of the Yucatán Peninsula.

We’re manifesting a cenote on the playa, complete with glowing mushrooms, stalagmites, candles, moss light accents, and projected water. Visitors will dance to massive 21” subs filling the air with different genres of music each night.

CENOTE is looking for (ticketed) DJs, live musicians, fire performers, artists, or other burners with unique perspectives to join us on our quest. Send a DM—we’d love to share our space!
