I have a bike.
i'm 42 (malkovich) and relaxed, useful and seeking balanced vibes, not too crazy.
invited by a buddy but his camp is either full or not so organized i can easily join in yet.
happy to join in your camp activities. money/chip-in, not a big problem.
also, I arrive in reno 8am sat 27th. will come relatively prepared, but hoping to avoid lugging my own water in.
have spent 8 months living outdoors many years ago so, low maintanance, will be comfortable on the salt-flats.

Actually, it might be better to camp by yourself for the first time and look for people you connect with.

It’s a harsh environment. If somebody let you down only a week out that’s rugged. If you were never planning to bring your own survival essentials, um. Somebody might mention, ok I’ll mention it… radical self reliance is a real expectation. Not all camps do care and feeding.

I saw on a burner fb water containers in Sparks at Nevada Millennium 775 345-4558. You’ll need water for sure. You can buy ice on playa, if you keep it clean it’s drinkable as melt. You could bring a 2 gal suitcase of water, that has a spigot, cut a flap in the top and add your ice on playa. If you can bring a bike, you can probably manage some water, and a cooler, you could try a soft cooler with some clean big ziplocks for clean ice melt.
