Solar 101 is for all Burners who want to get off the pipe…the exhaust pipe. Geared for artists who want to power their art with the sun’s clean energy. Newbies, DIY or just solar curious will enjoy this 2-hour lecture of the basics of solar energy and its components.
Burning with solar energy helps reach Burning Man’s 2030 sustainability goals. This lecture is designed to provide information on the basics of a solar system and its components. Topics covered are: Burning Man 2030 sustainability goals, basic system design, load measurement, batteries, solar panels, charge controllers, Inverters/converters, axillary equipment and solar in the default world. This event will be recorded for future solar training.
