I'm sorry, I hope this doesn't come across as rude, but I would not count on getting reunited with this item and buy another one.

This is literally a $20 item. The cost of shipping this to you, if it's found, is at least $15 + someone's time ($$$). It's just not worth waiting for it and I doubt anyone has held on to it if they found it.
