STEP questions

Post by InGearX » Thu Apr 27, 2023 10:42 am

it doesn't mention on the info page https://tickets.burningman.org/2023-sec ... gram-step/
but I guess it's a first come = first served (and not a random lottery)

I wonder at what point does the system put you into the que registrar - constituting that you are in?

when you clicked the button STEP program?

or added # of tix?

or added your CC info and pressed order?

or ? or it will be just a lottery ... random selection or based on some other factors ?

cause the main sale seems like a random selection or based on some other factors see https://eplaya.burningman.org/viewtopic ... 8&t=112548

thank you

Well, I think it's first come, depending on number of tickets and price requested and available, first served. If someone submits a single expensive ticket for resale, and you've requested 2 main sale tickets, your request will be skipped until your request is available. Not sure all the minutiae. Just sign up as soon as possible. Don't wait for a zoom meeting. Though it takes a long long time for any action with STEP. It's based on people who bought a ticket deciding not to go, then submitting the tickets back, so that alone might not happen til far later in the summer as plans change. It should be part of your strategy if you are looking for tickets, but not the only one.
