2 Questions about sale day

#1 - I've watched many of the videos from the British lady with dark hair. In her "how to get tickets" video she says you need a "Ticket Fly" account. The video is about 5 years old. Is this still the case? I have my burner profile set up, but is there some other service I need to be registered with?
#2 - I have never bought a ticket in this manner. There is an episode of "The Big Bang Theory" where they are trying to get tickets to Comic Con. They constantly hit "refresh" on their browser until one person finally gets into the cue. My guess is at noon on the 12th, thousands of people will be trying to get into the cue. Do I keep hitting refresh until I get a spot in line?
Thanks very much.

Ticketing has changed. You need to have a Burner account set up with the official sight, but I believe the ticket sale doesn't require the second Ticket Fly account. Hitting refresh might kick you out of the line. There should be an indication onscreen showing continued progress. And you have to be logged on and ready to go immediately, prepared to sit and wait.
Surely you have read all this

Thanks. I think I remember that after you register, there will be a link sent to the email address with log on info, correct?

There is a lot of info posted around here and at the BM site, though it may take a little time to sink in.
After you've registered for the sale using your burner profile, it will immediately say something like "Congratulations, you're registered!" there in your profile. They may send a confirmation email as well soon after. They will also tell you to expect your personal ticket email containing your individual link into the sale to arrive sometime the day before the sale happens. This personal link also appears in your burner profile at some point before the sale starts. Click to enter at the appropriate time. (12:00 noon PT)
As for strategy, I don't think there is a proven strategy, plus it seems to vary from year to year anyway. So, either link will get you there, and fussing around with it once you're in will likely just send you to the back of the line. Every year though, there are reports of people bouncing in and out, refreshing, etc., and getting in. It is a crapshoot, and expect the site itself to go haywire, as it often does. Actually, I've never seen nor heard of it ever going smoothly for all concerned ever since the year tickets began selling out. There are always at least a few, and sometimes a lot of people that hit unrecoverable glitches in the process every year.
Be psychologically prepared for a gut punch. That is the experience that the majority of people end up with. Then begins the next phase of the ticket search!
Best of luck super schafe!

Every year hitting that link/button is my annual heart stress test. So far, I have survived. Barely.

Just to be clear, the ticket queue fills up almost instantly, then it takes around 45 minutes for ticket processing to run its course. With luck, sometime in that window your screen will change to the purchasing page. If not, then around 45 minutes to an hour in, your screen will change to break the news that it is sold out.
There was at least once in the past where it took several hours to finish, but that was a different ticket vender. As always, YMMV

Has anyone received their email yet with the link to purchase?

It seems how it works or what best to do, use the email link, find a sparkly things button in your profile, refresh don’t refresh, jump at what second…in my experience is never well explained, or consistent or reliable. After it is done there are no apologies or explanations for the various sidetracks you may feel you were stuck in. I’ve been in the queue where I felt relief and success only to experience the sold out screen. I’ve found it makes for a bad day, and I don’t feel I’m that lucky. I can try and get a ticket later on some other way if I’m going to go.

If I didn't register for the FOMO sale and there are still tickets, can I apply to buy one?

I went ahead and registered for FOMO back when it opened, not to buy one, but just to keep tabs on the sale. The queue filled up right away, sort of like the main sale does, with the spinning arrows, and I think the $1500 tickets sold out pretty quickly. The $2750 option seemed to stay available for about two and a half weeks, and then closed. So I don't think FOMO is an option anymore, unless BMorg decides to open it back up.
