What are the actual odds of getting a ticket in the main sale?

Not trying to snark anyone or the mechanism. I'm actually just really curious about the odds. I know the DGS and Steward's Sale tickets have increased recently, so that takes people out of the main sale. On the day when the atomic clock says "NOW!", how many people are logged on, and how many will score tickets? What are the actual odds? What percentage will walk away with tickets?

That is proprietary information to the BMORG. Some things even the BMORG has no information on.

To register for the ticket sale, you need a burner profile. Some people will create multiple burner profiles to cheat the system.

So the question is how many burner profiles register for a sale, how many tickets are they requesting, 1 or 2, and how many unique individuals are represented by all the burner profiles in a sale?

Some people have speculated that demand by unique individuals is about 2-3x supply.

Yea, I was fortunate enough to stumble into the DGS and now Steward's Sale tickets in 2017 at my first Burn. I just volunteered to help build the camp, only to then find that that might get me on the DGS wagon. I'm sure it's secret information somewhere, and I've read estimates of 20-30% of those attempting to get a ticket via the main sale. I was just curious if anyone else had looked into this. What do you tell your friends who ask about the odds of getting a ticket that way?
