I was wondering this myself. This will be my first year and all research shows that tickets were difficult to come by. Got mine in about 20 ish minutes. Should this be alarming? Either way it goes... IM GOINGFlyingMonkey wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 5:11 pmWhen did they sell out last year. Seems like the main sale went longer than normal.
Did the 2 years of bad weather thin the herd?
This is a good thing, especially for you, right now. Less tickets bought as speculating and investment. There's going to be the dedicated real Burners still bringing it, so don't worry that a lack in ticket crush means less on playa. I haven't seen any horror stories about waiting or getting shit out. Have seen some people not getting tickets, just not as bad as in the past, I'm figuringCyben wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 10:11 pmI was wondering this myself. I would agree to a certain extent but if it took 6 hours to sell out opposed to 30 minutes that's way different.art walsh wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2024 5:12 amI can see no correlation between time to sell out and demand.
assume the system can process orders at same rate as last year, then time to sell out would be about the same.
There could have been 40,000 or 100,000 people in the queue and it would take the same time to sell out.
If you got tickets quicker than in the past, its only because you got into line quicker. I've read that some people were delayed getting in line due to the infamous "your too early" screen even when hitting the button after 12:00.00.
