Physical therapist looking for camp for 2

Post by xannn3 » Wed May 17, 2023 1:29 pm

Hello! Looking for camp for 2023 for two. We're both virgin burners but hard workers and excited to get involved and immersed in the community. Must be LGBTQ+ friendly. Im a licensed physical therapist and happy to provide stretching/massage/and injury screening for camp mates and friends during the event. Also experience working with chainmaille and cloth arts. We both bake and I cook so we can contribute to food or help with kitchen as well :)
We hope to find a camp thats kink, art, or healthcare related.
Happy to chat with people and make connections even if you dont have camp space this year. Maybe we'll make friends or find a camp for next year as well.

Hi, welcome! The 2023 camp list came out recently, maybe have a look and see if something aligns with your tastes and talents. Many have contact info. Some camps also post on eplaya looking for campers, maybe dues payers, or specific skillsets needed. Each year there may be a few shady offerings, I would suggest some due diligence. https://burningman.org/event/participat ... p-listing/

It’s not necessary to be in a camp though if you are self reliant, you might enjoy open camping. I have found it very neighborly and socially supportive.

You may have local burners to meet with and many communities have get-togethers or projects to help with before the burn. The regional directory from the main site could have some leads for you.

Nectar Village is a group of collaborative camps who select their own campers individually. It is home to many alt health/spiritual light side modalities and provides them on an appointment basis in their shaded plaza. Doubt kink.

Kink would be the Red Light District camps. I don't know them, but Retrofrolic used to be active on ePlaya.

There are also circus and aerial arts performance camps who would benefit from a PT.

You have value, and there is a place for you, but it will take work to find it and establish trust to be selected.

Welcome to ePlaya, and if you list your current city location in your posts here and other social media people may reach out. No guarantees.
