It'll be my 4th time heading out to the desert, and I'd like to join a bit bigger group and do some volunteer work. I'm primarily based out of San Francisco, but spend a good deal of time in the Reno area. I've got a few skills to share and offer:

* 30+ years of solar and off grid energy experience, a large collection of inverters, solar panels, batteries, and wiring goods, generator
* Local address - you need a lot of water? I have it. Storage and staging room for some items? As long as it is OK being in the sun..
* Moderate construction abilities [light electrical & plumbing] and no fears about assembling according to plans
* 500+ sq ft of shade cloth, two 5 meter canvas bell tents
* small trailer
* big truck
* quality, food loving cook able to plan, and feed a crowd

I'd like to join a fun experience, a group building something to share, learn a bit about art and creativity, and of course make some new friends!

https://eplaya.burningman.org/viewtopic ... 0&t=112234. Tiki lounge posted they are recruiting.

I also recommend a deep dive into the main website. Finding your regional connections is a good start. Here’s a list (I think not all inclusive) of last years camps with contact info for many. https://burningman.org/about/history/br ... p-listing/

With your background in solar (and your local address), you might look into the Renewables for Artists Team (RAT): https://www.renewablesforartiststeam.org/

BTW, OT - For all others looking for a camp …

This is the right way to do it !!!

Jimboyjake made it all about what they bring to the experience, not what they need from it.

Bravo!

Token said it.
The playa is your oyster, or something like that. Last year, and past, there is always artists and camps glamouring for help with towing, tickets in the mix, as the event approaches. So it's your choice. If I had a camp I'd be reaching out to you. You've been enough though, what's your interest, what's the vibe you're seeking (community, action, flamboyance, intimacy, volume level, PARTICIPATION, etc?), you've seen what's out there, partially. With eplaya, SPARK, all the Facebook groups, etc, no shortage of finding where you might fit. Though you might be fishing here, a first cast, looking for a bite. And it's early enough, I think, to apply as a new camp, your camp!!! Why join a shit show when you can run the shit show? So many options. You listing what you bring is great! The right foot forward. Good luck with your endeavors.
