Your friend and debauched neighbor, Doc Pyro (creator of Barbie Death Camp) has once again, as my gift to Black Rock City, is offering up the J Resort Hotel Deal for 2024. This deal is for all burners coming to or leaving from Black Rock City. Here are the details (taxes and resort fees are not included and all casinos charge them):

Monday, August 19 to Thursday, August 22: $49
Friday, August 23 to Saturday, August 24: $139
Sunday, August 25 to Thursday, August 29: $49
Friday, August 30: $139
Saturday, August 31 to Sunday, September 1: $229
Monday, September 2 to Tuesday, September 3: $59
Wednesday, September 4 to Thursday, September 5: $49

You must call (866) 386-7829 or (866) FUN-STAY and ask for PYRO24. We have taken down several floors of rooms and each room sleeps 4 (or 12 if you're sponsoring the orgy). The J Resort has a free sauna, large 15 person jacuzzi, ice machines on every floor, large outdoor swimming pool, and ample free parking. There is also a free shuttle to and from the airport.

I was going to post my outrage at how you and others got treated last year, but I do not feel like giving them any exposure.

Yeah, it was pretty crappy and both Wildman and myself still don't understand why we would be targeted for no reason except that we express our experienced point of view which can be contrary to what the younger people may believe. For example, with the mutant vehicle(s) they are more concerned with the music on board (which isn't even necessary) than having the vehicles in proper mechanical working order. Morons.

It's simple Doc. You guys are burners and they are not. They are doing what they can to make the default world happy with them, no matter the cost. I really detest what they are doing to BDV and the people who worked so damn hard to make it the camp it was.

I have negotiated a cheaper rate for three of the nights.

Everything else for now remains the same.

Actually it does get a little bit better. Beginning Thursday, August 15 you can grab a room for $49 (Sunday through Thursday) and $139 Friday and Saturday. Still use the code PYRO24.

a more polite and less wordy than the description I'd use..... it'd start with "ungrateful" and end with "fuckwads", with many adjectives and pronouns between.

Ditto. I would also say they need to change the name to Barbie Village. It would be more appropriate. Look at what they did to the art! These people would put pants on David.

In case anybody was interested, as of last Friday 125 rooms have been reserved using this deal. That number certainly has gone up since then. I hope to meet some of you this Thursday!
