Confirmation of Lost and Found Form Submitted

Hi, I submitted a form for my lost phone that i spotted in the lnf.burningman.org site. When can I expect a confirmation or approval? Thank you!

It will never happen. We are not official, anyone with any real authority has run away screaming into the night.

Seriously though I believe that Lost and Found is so busy trying to catalog and return all the found dusty crap that they do not have time to confirm that you wrote to them. If you did get a confirmation would you email back to confirm that you got the confirmation? Then, should they email you to confirmation the confirmation?

I think OP is asking - and I have the same question - is there any way to know whether the claim has been received? I've completed the claim form information twice, and havent seen anything come back from BM org... I realise everyone is a volunteer, your efforts are massively appreciated - thank you!.

Is there a contact email I could reach out to confirm that my claim has been received (my item includes my ID, phone and bunch of other identifying information so there is no doubt it is mine - I'm just worried that the Oct deadline will come around quickly and I would really like my things back!) Mr Popeye is correct.

Personally, I haven't even done my wash from the burn, or put away things. It is the same for the L&F employees and volunteers. The L&F department is very small. Many of the Burning Man HQ employees are hard at work completing MANDATORY reports for the BLM, LEO, the State, agencies, and bookkeeping. The number of found items runs into the thousands, including an average of over 1000 phones found.

L&F is a gift not an entitlement. It is not guaranteed in the ticket, nor is any email I'm OK, you're OK, chit chat.
