It appears that there are still $675 tickets available, over twenty-four hours after the main sale opened.
This is likely an off year for me personally (usually I skip alternate years), but I do like to keep an eye on the ticket demand and status.
Hey BVB. This appears to be the year for people who have always wanted to come to the playa, but missed out on tickets. The Man will burn, but political uncertainty may be causing some to hesitate. Last year I brought a young couple who always wanted to come to Burning Man, and they had the most spectacular time. They intend to come back but they now know what it's all about and the hundreds of spectacular videos on line, now come to life for them. No regrets, they did it.
I look forward to seeing you again on the playa when the planets align.

Back in the (many) years before the event sold out, and actually even in 2011 (it didn't actually sell out until July 11th), Second tier tickets were available for weeks or even months after the initial on-sale. Only the lowest ticket tier typically sold out on the first day, and the time it took usually had more to do with how overwhelmed the servers were with the old ticket provider. It was not uncommon to be waiting in the queue for 3-4 hours or more just to get them on the first day, back in a time when it was considered unfathomable that tickets wouldn't be available later.
Last year's population got to be north of 70K, despite the complexities of tariffs, international travel, inflation, etc. Despite this year's challenges, wrinkles and complications I'm hopeful we'll see similar numbers, and plenty of new as well as returning burners.

. As Sham mentioned, this would be a good year for new people to attend. It appears that the $675 tickets are still available!
I can see why the BMP can't just leave the sale open indefinitely. Probably some overhead expenses involved, plus a sale event itself generates some excitement I think.
Sham, I'm sorry I wasn't able to catch up with you this past year out there. I stopped by, perhaps Wednesday or Thursday afternoon, but your campmates said you were out and about! Hopefully our planets will realign, perhaps next year.
I am happy to say that I was able to catch up to Trilo last year and had a fun, and insightful conversation! Always one of the highlights of my burn. Great to see ya again!

I agree, BvB. Part of me wishes it could just stay ongoing like way-back-when, but in 2026 the reality is that the logistics of working with ticketing providers and batches of orders for fulfillment purposes probably dictates a cutoff date, so that 'complete' lists from a particular sale can get communicated and everything goes as smoothly as possible. Having been through previous years where things did not go so smoothly, I am definitely on team 'go as smoothly as possible'.
Thanks to those on the tech teams and ticketing teams, feedback from campmates and friends all suggests they are making the process easier and less painful.
