Thanks for your patience. We totally understand posting your lost or found items in other boards between when you got back and when I got back and finished unloading. I did a quick sweep through and I think I got all the posts in other boards moved into the right board, but if you see something that was missed, please go ahead and flag the post via the little triangle icon with an exclamation mark in it. We'll investigate and move it to the right spot asap.
Two other things to note at this time:
- We experienced a brief outage - sorry if you got caught with a blank page at any point. Fortunately the Burning Man tech team got us back up and running in fairly short order.
- ePlaya doesn't turn up as easily in Google anymore (thanks to the ppl who emailed or messaged us about that). Unfortunately, Google's search algorithms and search results are determined by Google. In first-generation (database query driven) search technology, ePlaya benefitted a great deal. type any search term and add eplaya, and it takes you right up to ePlaya search results. Next generation (plain language driven AI) search technology, ePlaya doesn't benefit. In the overall grand scheme of things, ePlaya is not a high traffic site, we don't buy ads and we don't play ball on data mining. The Googly/Gemini overlords either ignore or reject the site in results. Reddit often scores higher in those rankings because Reddit data mines its users and has a content deal with Google.
