Thanks for the kind words, Captain. We are retiring Tieland in the sense that it will be recognizable as a truck for 2009. We are stripping off the ties, probably taking the mosaic off of the hood (need to decrease the weight and it made opening the hood an adventure, and not always a safe one), and converting the truck (FULL DISCLOSURE: This is still in the planning stage) into a tugboat. Using the current design with the upper deck still in place, if we sew material to cover the truck so it becomes unrecognizable and then use the upper deck as where a captain (Goddamnit) would hang out, using our imaginations we can see where a tugboat motif would work out very well. Then add smokestacks (that may or may not belch flame) and lighting. Viola! Tugboat. Probably make it a Barbie pink color (shocker) and then we'll be able to tool around the playa with 20 partiers and be in compliance with DMV rules. We've always wanted to follow the rules, but the rules didn't always follow us.
