Well now that Nevada is voting on legal Pot we should hold out for that and if that passes I'm sure X and Acid should be next. Then the BM can give out party packages included in the cost with directions:
X on Monday- no drinking or other drugs
Acid on Tuesday
Wenesday- just pot and booze
Thursday- Acid and Pot
Friday- day of choice
Saturday- ACID all the way with abundant amounts of Booze
Sunday- X with only pot no X if you have taken some within four days.
Monday- recover day some pot and booze
give up all leftover stash to those staying on playa during Exodus and suffer in traffic!
Ps- build gigantic floating playa- sail out past 200 mile zone and don't worry about laws.

You gotta be careful with that, gyre. Remember Humpty Dumpty? Jabberwocky? "..gyre and gimble in the wabe." Carrroll specifically says that "gyre" is to go round and round like a gyrescope and so I learned to pronounce it with the soft "J" sound, instead of the hard "g". I even think that's what the notes in the Annotated Alice said, although I'm working on memory, not looking at the reference.gyre wrote:BAS
It's pronounced just like it sounds.

The real problem is that after a week on the playa,
no one can pronounce it at all!
I do use the hard G.
Gyre has multiple word meanings like many of the words in the Jabberwock. It's a much more complex poem than it seems.
One of the meanings is mystical, referring to an infinite climbing spiral.
Gyre of Gymbal is a name I've used as well.

It would be a shame if I had to resort to self-deception to preserve my faith in objective reality.

You voluntarily assume the risk of fire...
It is african and a tad lively at times.
It has a flat area in the caldera with a lava tube that rises and falls- a lake of fire below, when it's safe to be there. Safe being a relative term, of course. The flat plain would be fitting, I think.
Call it extreme burning man maybe.
The man could just be pushed into the molten pool to burst into flames.
I don't know how to write this but the y is hard. The n and the y are both pronounced. The n rolls into the y- nyear o gong o.
Does that help?

Sort of. Hearing it would help more, but it would be more trouble than it would be worth to post a sound file!
Continental U.S. would be more convenient for me, actually, but if we are going off continent, why not Africa?

How about just a large floating raft of interconnected boats and barges, like in Neal Stephenson's 'Snow Crash'? BurningMan could just sail the oceans year round, with more and more boats and refugees linking up to it. (We'd also be best prepared for the great icecap meltdown.)

Well OK then......so now that you got your mind in the right place....picture this. You just might have stumbled onto something. I have talked to Reishee Sowa, and he thinks a whole city could be done with just everyday household recycleable products.

Don't know about that, and to be fair, not even seriously guessing about Apollonaris Zeus. I've never met the man. For all I know, maybe he does nothing harder than Lipton. I just saw something that looked nuts and made a general flip remark about how many heads there are on the Playa.
Down to Mexico is a bad, bad idea, and I hope somebody was joking about the cool C note making all troubles go away. Take it from somebody who grew up under a corrupt local government, that kind of cockiness will land a guy in a world of trouble. Justice turns into a roll of the dice, and you never know who's loading the dice or why.

A giant bonfire on top of an oil rig? Then lots of exploding fireballs, right next to where the oil comes out? There was a problem with that idea, what was it? No, can't seem to remember. It'll come to me.Pogo wrote:Nah it would be OSHA.theCryptofishist wrote: How about a drilling platform 20 miles off the coast of california? That would be Coast Guard. I think.
