How did I think it was different than it was? I read the information given out by BM on their site, something that a good portion of the population I doubt did,

the argument of it's a 'Festival" or not I got from here, some of you call it one, some don't.

a) thanks for rubbing in the fact I'm unemployed due to no fault of my own.

b) it's called a "memory"; as in: I retain things that I read. Like your posts. Unlike you I seem to remember what other people have said, and I can use this technology to go find it (hint: bottom of each post, a little button that says "profile". Under profile "find all posts". Real complex)

Actually there is one redemptive feature about the word "sheeple." The people who use it are, in fact, every bit as intellectually lazy, if not more, than the people whom they apply it, too. Nothing like dismissing "herds" of people you've never even talked to. If there were a god, they'd choke on their tongues. Oh, and the fact that it's inherently such a juvenile concept just makes this particular instance particularly delicious.

oh sorry, Teardropper yes that was the floor of my OFFICE, it would be considered an art trailer, on the playa, the mutant vehicle I drive daily that pulls it on occasion is a 32 Chevy on a 85 GMC 4x4 frame i think you can see it on line

I mentioned 85' in relation to what? when I was in SF for a time.
I've lived there on and off at time between many other places.
When I was born there there was only one other building, or two bigger than the capitol bldg. dome I could see from Bernal Hgts.

But as you're guessing, i rocked @ the Filmore before it closed in 71'

I shouldn't assume you are talking to me but as I have a moment before I need to go work on the fence line, damn dogs made a few holes.

I would no more give you off the cuff advice for wood working than I would you trying to explain BM.
So many variables.
where's the house?
what's the wood?,
how old?,
what the finished you plan on using?
what are your budget constraints?

If you're painting none of this really matters and I should refer you to one of my brothers who used to paint Victorians in the city.
I don't work on houses, I have, but I hate it, unless they're a hundred years old.

It's the floors I'm concerned about.
Duroseal has been recommended.
I have generally used a polyurethane gym finish.

Floors are standard pine flooring over a slab, probably '50 or '60s.

Planning to do the walls in white epoxy ester finish topcoat, a translucent high gloss.
All sheetrock, no plaster.

@gyre, I don't mess with pine too much, it's barely a wood.
The 36 species you saw above are all hard woods in their natural colors.
Don't know if you have Penatrol, it's one I use for pre-soak finish, especially for a floor. Wood on a slab,
