Get Ready For At Least Two Years of Disgusting Misspellings
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070210/ap_ ... /obama2008
In a country where 15% can't read at all and half of the rest can't manage anything more sophisticated than Dr. Seuss, we're gonna see every possible way to misspell "Barack Obama."
I was dreading my first reading of "Borat Osama" but I decided to make a game out of it and laugh instead. So! Use this thread to report your sightings of "Barack Obama" misspellings and we'll see which ones recur most often. Report the misspelling and cut 'n paste the incidence if possible. Or heck, make up your own!
For the record: I like the guy. There's a couple things that need ironing out but he's a good mediator and has a talent for getting all sides of an issue talking. And we need that.

How about this: O'Bama. It kinda adds up . . .
Black Irish
From Wikipedia
Black Irish is a traditional term that commonly ascribes to a dark brown or black hair phenotype appearing in persons of Irish descent. It can be distinguished in contrast to the (lighter) brown, blond or red hair color variant, the latter stereotypically perceived by many to solely personify the look of typical Irish folk. The term itself is rather ambiguous. As such, the description of those it depicts has been known to vary to a degree in that some have differing views on which physical characteristics (e.g., dark hair, brown eyes, medium skin tone or dark hair, blue eyes, pale skin tone) better define the appearance of the so-called Black Irish. (see talk page)
Inspired by a myth which claims the darker features to be of Iberian derivation, some have looked to science for answers often citing genetic studies pertaining to those with Irish (and/or British) ancestry as a means of determining what genotypic and environmental factors have contributed to the divergence between the more and less prevalent types found amongst the Irish people. Although not commonly used in everyday conversation, Black Irish can be heard in Great Britain, the United States, Canada, Australia and ironically to a much lesser extent, Ireland.

His middle name is Hussein. I don't know what that means, it's just kinda funny is all.
Fun to watch Hillary fight with him. She's pretty smart for accusing him of "dirty politics" and asking him for an apology for taking away her fundraiser David Geffen.. She doesn't want an apology of course, she just wants to drag him into the arena, so we see him as a regular politician and not "outside of the political process", as I'm sure he would like us to see him.

Distant relative to bin laden. They said he had a *muslim* stepfather. And I've heard from the republican smearmeisters he went to a terrorist islamic jihad school...
They used to call him Al-Obama, was even in a country rock band named after him, that probably wrote racially biased music...
And he had a love child with Ross Perot. While they were on a swift boat in Viet-Nam. He voted for Hubert Humphrey... And Al Smith. Probably Lester Maddox as well.
You can't trust him - he's not a real African-American, like Tiger Woods was. And he's too young and smart to be elected.
(My name is George Bush, and I approve of this commercial...)

Sure, anyone can run. As long as they can find a party who'll put 'em on a ticket. And that will be Obama's undoing. When it comes right down to it, the Dems are going to do a reality check and realize that America isn't ready for a black president. They'll probably also realize that America isn't ready for a woman president, either. Or maybe they'll surprise me and stand on principle rather than election politics. But as our elections have shown time and time again - we don't elect the best person for the job, we elect the one who we think will win. Otherwise, we're just throwing away our votes, right? We have to be winners, despite the consequences, even though no one else is supposed to know how we vote. Hopefully, in 2008, people will look back on the past 8 years and vote with their brains and their hearts and ignore the cheerleaders on the sidelines...Apollonaris Zeus wrote:there are black Irish people and they can run for president?
Life has progressed.
Man isn't america GREAT!
Just for clarification, if the Dems pick either Obama or Hillary (or both), I'll be the first in my neighborhood with a yard sign showing my support. But I'm not going to tell you how I'd vote..
