exit polls indicate that is whats going to happen - more Obama voters will vote for Hillary, than Hillary voters for Obama.
I don't buy it. I think that's rhetoric spread by Hillary's campaign. They're telling supporters to say this, either directly or by planting it in their heads. She's a very easy target with a ton of skeletons ready and waiting to be pulled out of the closet during the main election. They're stretching hard to find anything on Obama, exaggerating everything as fully as they can, and he's keeping his stride.

Hillary campaigning for Obama as a Senator would do more than her as a running mate. For all the talk of racist voters there are plenty of people who simply hate her. He just needs some smart, qualified person who isn't going to screw anything up. Richardson would be great.

Given today's political climate, I don't see any "right-thinkin'" Democrat voting for a Republican.

Is it me or does McCain have a weird habit of holding his elbows away from his body? He almost looks dwarfish.

I think some of them would not vote for spite. I see no point in this bitter bickering, we know that they can pull all sorts of election day tricks and if the race is close enough that shit will matter. Taking votes for granted is a losing strategy.

Barack Sticks His Tongue Out At System
Obama Forgoes Public Funds in First for Major Candidate
WASHINGTON — Senator Barack Obama announced on Thursday that he would not participate in the public financing system for presidential campaigns. He argued that the system had collapsed, and would put him at a disadvantage running against Senator John McCain, his likely Republican opponent.

A pretty sweet choice to faced with...

Post by honeyfire » Thu Jun 26, 2008 11:13 am

Well, people who weren't going to vote for Hillary because she's a woman may yet conceivably vote for Obama. But anyone who wouldn't vote for Obama because he's black wouldn't be voting for Obama even if he were white...

Simon, any elaborations on why you are so unimpressed with Hillary?
That have to do with what she says or does rather than her ass?
Just curious.

And does anyone else find McCain's ads kind of hilarious?
You'd think he was running as a Dem...

actually, Hillary is a Very Smart and Astute politician, and would have made a good president...

her problem is the Baggage she carries in the form of Bill Clinton.

And mind you, he did a helluva job, and i came to admire him and his presidency after a while.

but the negatives were too high, the vehement hatred to deep, and quite frankly, Barack Impressed me More.

I dont want to get all RFK giddy, but i am actually excited, and quite certain that he will win...

I cant say that about Hillary.

does that answer your question?

``He's extremely charismatic -- I've never seen anybody like this (since ze old days),'' said Wolfgang Zuchowsky, a 73-year-old retired police officer from Berlin. ``It's much better than what we've seen from the American style in the last few years, quite a bit more intellectual than the current president.''

Sorry to disappoint all you fans of the antichrist.
Obama is not "The One"
It's official:
http://www.christiannewswire.com/news/371367426.html
CAROL STREAM, Ill., Aug. 8 /Christian Newswire/ -- John McCain's campaign ad "The One" has generated a lot of buzz regarding the "Left Behind Series." Political commentators are comparing McCain's portrayal of competitor Barack Obama with the blockbuster apocalyptic series' depiction of the antichrist. But even the series authors Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins don't think Obama is the antichrist. What may have been created as a farce has generated a firestorm of controversy on the internet.

LaHaye and Jenkins take a literal interpretation of prophecies found in the Book of Revelation. They believe the antichrist will surface on the world stage at some point, but neither see Obama in that role. "I've gotten a lot of questions the last few weeks asking if Obama is the antichrist," says novelist Jenkins. "I tell everyone that I don't think the antichrist will come out of politics, especially American politics."

"I can see by the language he uses why people think he could be the antichrist," adds LaHaye, "but from my reading of scripture, he doesn't meet the criteria. There is no indication in the Bible that the antichrist will be an American."

Jenkins and LaHaye don't take McCain's commercial or the antichrist speculation over Obama too seriously.

Pundits have pointed out that there are similarities between the "Left Behind Series" character Nicolae Carpathia and Obama. Other than some vocabulary and charisma, Carpathia, a young Romanian politician who eventually oversees a one-world government, and Obama don't have much in common. "If even the people who created the character Nicolae Carpathia don't see the comparisons as warranted, then perhaps this is overblown," says Jenkins.

"Left Behind" is a series of 16 apocalyptic novels (1995-2007/Tyndale House Publishers) using end time prophecies in Revelation as a framework. All sixteen books reached the "New York Times" bestseller list with seven reaching the #1 spot. Overall more than 63 million copies have sold in the "Left Behind" product line. For more information on the "Left Behind Series," visit www.leftbehind.com.
I hate to be the one to break this to you. :(
