Burningman sponsered by Heineken, Welchs, Trader Joe's,+more
This page seems very strange to me.
http://www.burningman.com/preparation/e ... rinks.html
I mean, yes, they say immediately that these are not
"official endorsements", but the point of the page is to
give examples of things you can drink that come in
a can.
But couldn't they just say, "we reccomend things that
come in a can"???

I wrote the first draft of that page 12 or 13 years ago for Recycle Camp. My apologies if it offends your puritanical sensibilities, but the organizational purpose is/was to mitigate the amount of broken glass you people leave on the playa for DPW to clean up, and reduce the weight of your carry-home trash that inevitably results in hundreds of garbage sacks being left in campsites, along the roadsides, in Nevada towns, at roadside rest stops, etc.
Actually, I was trying to piss off the beer snobs. So fuck all your days.

Bob has worked for DPW. That means he knows first hand the horrendous joy of trying to pick tiny shards of glass out of the dust of the playa. It's stoop labor, Woman, and you can damn well respect him for it. If it weren't for Bob and his ilk, there would be no event. This Woman wrote:A whole page of products and hours of product testing for the sole purpose of reducing broken glass? That's all well and good, but you probably should have received some kickbacks even so.

That reminds me, my Trader Joe's checks stopped coming when Theo Albrecht died. I'll have to call my lawyer.

Hey Bob,
Crypto's got a crush on ya. Dear passionate Crypto, I take back nothing, I like Bob just fine, I totally stand by what I said, and still think its funny.
FYI, I've pulled plenty of broken glass out of the dust after the city has disappeared...not that doing that is necessary for me to have opinions here that might irk you.

I found the jones stuff horrific and costly.
There is a root beer with a name like someone's personal name sold in reno, that is wonderful.
I still couldn't bring myself to buy any last year, but fantastic.
A guy with the same name brought some to transformus.
Naturally I can't remember the name, but it has two names, like a regular person.
Wonderful root beer.

Wonderful root beer.
Was it Henry Weinhard's? They're primarily a beer maker, don't much care for their beer but they make a killer Orange soda too. It tastes just like 50/50 bars.

Hey, Eric. I'm looking for some tickets and a cool camp to join. Can I have happy-fun times with you, making sausage smoothies while talking about the Golden Girls? I promise I'm not lame. Double-promise.

hate Golden Girls, don't eat sausage unless it's owner asks, and it took you 4 days to come up with this lame response which means you would never survive in a room full of drag queens.playahata wrote:Hey, Eric.
