That's the reason I started this thread; to highlight some of those posts, especially since blogposts mostly get into the spotlight for a fleeting moment before disappearing under the button 'older posts'
So why did I start a new thread about the value of art and money?
Well because the previous one started with a post about Paul-what's-his-name and I didn't feel it appropriate to have him as the main focus and definitely didn't want his name in the subject to keep popping up
To make a long story short, here are some links to posts I think are relevant since they deal with the frictions between the financial and intrinsic/real values of art, which for me has always been an important part of Burning Man itself.
Sal Randolph, an artist from New York, who has been giving away money for years as a form of art wrote this article:
http://blog.artasmoney.com/art-as-money ... treasures/
King Adz (from Street Knowledge) wrote this about street art and money
http://blog.artasmoney.com/art-as-money/cash-rules/
(which might be appropriate because of the interesting story of the burning/throwing away of the Banksy center cafe piece)
And this is something I wrote myself about the art project which probably has influenced me most in my life: the burning of a million British pounds by the K Foundation: http://blog.artasmoney.com/art-as-money ... sh-pounds/
And why did I include God and Sex in the title? Of course because it sounds good, but also because of this post:
http://blog.artasmoney.com/art-as-money ... money-art/
which might give some people here a reason to have fun on this eplaya thread, while snarking, while others can just read the various other posts and stay updated on new interesting posts which I will update here.
