Do Your Homework
If you are thinking of going or have bought a ticket please do your homework and read the Survival Guide and do some research so you don't ask these questions:
Where can I buy a ticket?
Can I bring my dog?
Are there showers?
Will it be dusty? or better yet...sandy
Will food be sold at vending stands?
Do I need a tent?
For my first burn I read EVERYTHING I could, especially the Survival Guide, twice. Plus it is part of the excitement of going your first time. Please read then ask. If you are too lazy to do your homework you will not make it on the Playa and be a hazard to someone else.

Re: Too Stupid to Burn
Now that's a welcoming and radically inclusive post for a relatively new person to eplaya to post here.
Though the sentiment not unjustified. This is my new welcome message to everyone that posts in the introduce yourself forum:

Have questions? Read this first: http://www.burningman.com/first_timers/
Everybody on eplaya is always excited to help first timers; but in sympathy for some of us old timers, please get your required reading out of the way before posting. As hard as it is to rein in the the excitement and enthusiasm, and as unbelievable as it might seem, most of your questions have already been asked and answered, if you just take a moment to read.
Now, let the adventure begin!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

You rock Jkisha !
Burning Man isn't about the stuff you see when you get there ....it's about the people that brought that stuff there

Re: Too Stupid to Burn
I know...I'm sorry...it was mean...but it is truly annoying that people entertaining the thought of going or better yet have bought a ticket and ask these questions. It is more on FB than on here and I should post this on there. I can delete my post...I'm not really that mean.

LOL Obviously you've not read much in the political threads! (though I've been trying to keep out those threads lately)

Damn straight! That lack of unfortunately-not-so-common sense is probably why people get rooked into variable rate loans and other schemes. They generally get what they deserve, but unfortunately they end up affecting the rest of us.
