Burning Man Artists Set Up Side Show at Exclusive Art Fair

Art Basel is a moneyed art fair which has spread from Switzerland to Hong Kong and Miami. Galleries worldwide bring contemporary art works to sell starting at 5 figures.

Someone with money has set up a side show, of which there are several, with Burning Man - inspired art for sale. The artists can sell their work outside the constraints of the Burning Man art contract, some investors can make (or lose) some money on the event, and it is an effective recruiting tool to bring world wide art collectors to the Nevada event. A PnP tour company could simply set up a booth there and not need to advertise.

Unfortunately none of this does anything to improve the average quality of art at the NV event, but that is another topic.
