Is it a sin?!
Is it a sin?!
I think that secretly everyone wants to paint other people, but is it wrong? Should you feel the catholic brimstone as you ask a beautiful girl if you can paint her body? Or should you drive headfirst into the orange fence? The questions keep coming![/quote]

the sin question
It's a sin if you are not open to seeing the beauty in everyone.
I think this also holds true for situations in which there is no paint involved.

It's only a sin if she says no and you decide she's uptight/boring/yesterday's news because she doesn't want your paws on her. I would not be keen to a stranger walking up to me and asking to paint my body, but I've had some fun with friends painting me. It's not a way to open a conversation, I can tell you that.
First off, Hi guys, been a while, been dealing with kid, ex and, wish me luck here, possible new uh, female friend.
Sand-Man, if you set up a table or something of that sort and display examples of your work and generally advertise that you will paint people and you TAKE ALL COMERS. you will probably get some business including women you might be interested in. If you walk around hitting on girls by asking if you can paint them you might as well carry around a sign saying "Creepy Guy Here!". Now if you are totally hot, very personable and very slick you might get away with it. Otherwise, if you know it or not, slowly but surely the word about the word about the guy who hits on women by asking to paint them will get around.
Last year one of my friends, very laid back guy, was not at all amused by an oblique but very serious hit on his wife of three days, oh, and with him standing there. Look up Piss Clear and read the 'How to get laid at Burning Man' series. Note: I have never gotten laid at Burning Man, however I have at other Burner type functions. Trying too hard will fail.
I looked at some of your past posts and you describe yourself as young, there, if you don't freak the girls out, you have a big advantage on me. I have to make a serious effort to avoid the Creepy Old Guy label simply because of my age and the fact that there are a lot of creepy old guys out there. There are also a fair number of creepy young guys out there, don't be one. Advice, get involved with a local Burning Man group, you will meet women who will fit with you and you can get to know them over time. The woman I mentioned above I met at the last Santarchy and we have generally been hanging out for about a month now. I am moving somewhat slow, largely because she is half my age plus 2. And yeah, the preceding was a brag,

Yikes, I did not expect this sort of reply! In all honesty it was a sort of hypothetical idea. I saw quiet a few people(mainly men) doing henna, message, and painting on various folk, many wich were young, visually apealing women. I kinda wanted to figure out how one does this sort of thing . Thanks for all the advice Silver 2, you are definitly right about alot of those "creepy guy tactics". You would think that there would be a little bit more of an exeptance of older folks, I mean its Burning man for craps sake! And the truth is there is a diffrence between the Burn world and the real world. I did not get laid when I went to the Burn either and many folks at home were shocked by this. But I did not really look to get laid, I was really just looking for some people to connect with and maybe snuggle with. It is scary being a virgin Burner and being alone. I will see if I can attempt some of these missions you have spoken of. Now I feel inclined to at least try!
It is accepting, very much so, my first night at Burning Man I ended up running around with a 20 something, even the girls that have had problems with creepy guys (old or young) tend to be very laid back about things and give unknowns a lot of slack. However, once you get the creepy label it is very hard to get rid of. I know of two guys, one young and one old who went over the line and while they are still around I hear girls tell others 'Don't let X try and get you alone.' I make sure that it never happens with me and my life is pretty good. A couple of weekends ago I ended up touring the Cherry Trees by the tidal basin with four young ladies, I went to dinner and dancing with the youngest of the lot last Saturday and the other girls are telling her what a great guy I am.
I understand your statements about being at Burning Man alone, my first time I knew exactly zero people. I got out, kicked back and had a great time. When I got back home I became active in the local group and the second time I went to Burning Man I still lived alone in Hushville but I knew people all across the Playa.
