And sadly, the limits of many people’s dreams begin and end with a sound system blaring shitty EDM. And Coachella feathers.

Actually, there is some basis for saying that they do give people permission to dream and even more so, create. I met my true love there and we've just celebrated our 11th burn together. And when we saw the great art and MV's that people had made we actually said, "why don't we try to make some art ourselves?" And we did. The first few years were interesting but we got better and better. And we have enjoyed some modest success from our art. Burning man has been incredible in supporting that growth, through honorariums and contacts with public art outside the playa where we could exhibit. I've always said that BM has given permission for ANYONE to try to create art, and they let you exhibit the biggest gallery in the world. I do get the criticism. But I don;t want that to overshadow all that the Org does. In my opinion, they are pretty good.
