Country Bman tour?

Post by asr9754 » Mon Nov 05, 2018 9:15 am

I can't tell if I hate this because I'm generally not a fan of Country, or if I just regular hate it:
Ugh.
Country song "Burning Man"

It doesn't appear as if this song or accompanying music video has anything to do with TTITD.

Hallelujah.

Have to wonder how the Borg feels about a top40 entertainer using the trademarked "Burning Man" as the name of a song and upcoming tour: http://www.dierks.com/burningmantour

Why would they care if the term "Burning Man" is not referring to the event?

Maybe they wouldn't, but they might.

In Kansas McDonalds is a clothing store. There are probably a dozen books with the title Burning Man that have nothing to do with the event. Some of these predate the first burn. The borg. doesn't 'own' those words. I had the phone company refuse to hook up my service at my auto parts store. It was called The Boltswagon Shop. You can only push your brand so far.

I listened to it. Not bad. If I wasn't a Burner I could enjoy it more.

I'm a person who has a Boston accent so thick you could cut it with a knife. I find the county music so twangy and painful to listen to, but gulped my way through Dinks Binkly's song. Once is enough. I sure hope Dinks doesn't make an appearance on the playa for Burning Man 2019 like Alan Parson's did in 2018.

That AP concert was a really big deal with the canadians in our camp. We were front row for the whole thing.

I watched/heard AP from my camp kitchen. As an event, it was happening! Musically, kinda meh.

Nothing at all. He was awesome and I stayed for most of his performance. Brinks Dinkles is another story.

He was awsome? He didnt sing or play. I dont understand. He did a milly vanilly at the end. Those performers couldnt be the originals. They were youngsters. Maybe thats why they wore masks. We got drunk and picked out which one, 'we would do', anyway.
