Ravers from Texas! How cool is that!

Post by lizwiz » Sat Jun 19, 2004 4:41 pm

Even though I had been to plenty of raves before I had ever been to BM, it wasn't until a beloved friend of mine shouted in glee at BM 2001 "Ravers from Texas! How cool is that!" that I realized, I was a raver. Of course, I had candy with me at BM and was sharing it with all. Everyone always could use a lollipop! I think it is a great idea to help build up a couple of awesome raves at BM. BM 2001 had some seriously cool raves. 2002 and 03 didn't meet the standard. Did y'all see the subliminal submarine in 2002. Those guys had some awesome music and new how to party. they roamed the playa with the psy and went out to the middle of the desert to park and play. Really cool!

I am the lead organizer for Camp Israel. We are hosting Club Chai. It will play some awesome Israeli/goa trance. Are you a psy dj? Would you like to spin at Club Chai? PM or e-mail me at [email protected] and I will sign you up.
Smiles!

anyone can use a phrase to justify any sort of behavior in their life, be it well mannered or not very nice.

Ususally, when I get pissed off at something, I have learned over time to see what it is that I can't stand in myself. when I look, it's usually way down deep, underneath the mask of my ego, hidden by years of hurt and denial. Sometimes, I can't see it at all, because my ego and my fear tell me it aint there.
But ususally in a few years, and with my handy dandy meditation practice, I see it and shut my mouth, give my self some compassion, give the person I was pissed off at some compassion, have a laugh and move on...
Oh, and by the way, I have never been a candy raver. however. I've watched a very dear person in my life go almost all the way down on speed. It aint pretty. This is the reason you never really realize that the music aint that good. Either you are too cracked out to notice the music, but also too cracked out to realize that the music and the drugs are vibrating the lowest chakras...There's a can of worms for you...

Love,
Maldita
hee hee hee, you don't know me very well. The "Angry" part of my name is somewhat Ironic, and as for drugs, well, my friends know how I feel about them...
I took the road less traveled, and now I would like to go back and find the paved one.

I believe all my thoughts on candy ravers have been expressed rather harshly previously, so I'll attempt to explain better here. I like pretty much anyone who isn't being a dickhead to me. Good people are good people and that's all there is to it. I also really like making fun of people, because I'm a sardonic bastard, and there's no group of people on earth easier to make fun of than candy kids. So, if I make fun of you at some point down the line, don't take it personally. I'm just an asshole who's ears bleed everytime I hear happycore.

Thou shalt not lurk

Post by Dardanian » Thu Jul 15, 2004 10:43 am

Greetings!

I just wanted to say hello and not be a lurker. I'm interested in participating and perhaps even doing some mutual spinning-- I plan to bring my computer along as I use REASON almost exclusively. It will be good to see candy in the open again! I've been wearing only the most important and tiny reminders, reduced in size, on my dogtags beneath my clothes for better than two years now.

Please post where/when and how I can help, or just hook up!

I would love to spin at this camp. Last year I played a lot of HH at my camp and it went over great. I have tons of it, and have been spinning it for years. I'd love to play. Are there any spots open?
