so my camp, Kathanika, is returning to BRC for its third year. we host Storytime Shisha. now, instead of doing it in our cafe like we did in 2002 and 2003, Storytime Shisha will be packed on a cart and hauled to a new location every day. We're turning the cafe into a Garage for the cart (and a place to play darts, drink beer, and do other garage-type things).
soooooo...
Kathanika is looking for 3 - 4 different camps to host our wonderful afternoon activity: Storytime Shisha. you provide shade and reasonable shelter from the wind (to seat aprox. 12-15 ppl at peak) and we'll bring everything else.
and if you aren't in the ngo, here's the LD on what Storytime Shisha is:
Lazy afternoons spent enjoying succulent middle-eastern tobaccos and sharing serendipitous tales about adventure, passion, burritos, elephants, and much much more. Story writers, poets, character voices, singers, anyone and everyone is welcome to join us.
Daily (ish) from noon or 1 to 5 or 6.

Why are you volunteering someone else's camp, not to mention wasting bandwidth on the eplaya by your mere presence here?DVD Burner wrote:wonder if Barbie Death Camp and Wine Bistro on Thursday evening durring the eplaya meet and greet would be ok.
sure sounds like fun and a great place for someone like Ring to stop by and tell a story or 2.

I'm saving a few "and then there was the time..." tales for the playa.DVD Burner wrote:wonder if Barbie Death Camp and Wine Bistro on Thursday evening durring the eplaya meet and greet would be ok.

RE: Volunteering someone else's camp. Since Dr. Pyro and the Bistronauts already agreed to host the eplaya meet n' greet at 6:00 pm Thursday, it probably wouldn't be a problem, but we should definately contact the good Dr. and crew to ask them first.
Count me in on the storytelling bit.
...but it seemed like such a good idea at the time...

I'm sure the OP is aware there's a theme camp list on the main website, and that the theme camp dept might be a resource for getting in touch with or getting placed near camps that might be appropriate venues, but I'm just mentioning it for the benefit of others that might want to know.

What Bob said, plus the link for the themecamp listings, just to make it that much easier:

i love the teme camp list. it's a tremendous help.
i'm also not opposed to doing it at places deeper in the city, the more "residential" areas, if you will.
i'll be in touch with you guys, lydia & ring, as well as a gentleman who emailed me over the weekend.
yay stories! yay shisha!
