Camp Nosefish seeks members

Post by [email protected] » Mon Jul 05, 2004 7:10 am

Camp Nosefish has a few openings for folks who can come early to help us set up and stay late to help us break down. We've requested a spot in the 3:00 plaza, on the grid, as our projects require continuous power. We've historically been granted early access privileges because it takes several days to set up our project, the Desert Nose. The Desert Nose is a geodesic replica of Buckminster Fuller's nose, in which we provide music, seating and a super-efficient human cooling aparatus known as "The Great Unhot."

More info on our camp and its projects can be found at:
www.timefold.com/nosefish

We have a few openings in our camp as some of our regular members are missing Burning Man this year. We have a cap of 12-15 people imposed by BM Org plaza camps. The plaza slices aren't that big and we have two large projects.

Our camp has some great features, including a shade area and a zero-impact shower.

You'd be responsible for bringing your own food and water, and for your own transportation up to BM, but you may get some help with transporting your bike, for example, in our Fishmobile, space and weight permitting.

We need people who are collaborative thinkers and doers and who can come early and stay until the end. We plan to arrive on Aug 24 or 25 and we plan to leave either Mon Sep 6th evening and stay overnight in Reno, or leave Tue Sep 7th morning and drive all the way home.

If you are interested, please check out our web site and contact me at [email protected] and please put "Burning Man" or "Nosefish" in the subject -- many thanks.

Peace,

hoco
