Real, Uniformed, Marching Band Available on the Playa !

Post by SINdy » Tue Jul 06, 2004 4:28 pm

ThemeCamps -

Please consider The Burning Band for your party/wedding/other cultural needs.

A Playa institution for at least 8 years, we perform a number of feel-good, sing-along tunes such as "Walk Right In," "It's a Long Way to Tipperary," "Yes, We Have No Bananas," "In Heaven There is No Beer," and cheerfully improvise on reasonable requests such as you might have.

We comprise a couple dozen or so musicians of various stripes - legitimate brass, occult percussion, other folks who haven't played since high school and just want to raise hell. Our dashing, gold-fringed, designer uniforms are to swoon for. Whatever we lack in musicality we surely will make up for in spiffitude. And did we mention, we are continually recruiting new members, should anyone in your camp be titillated.

Shall we talk ?

marching band at costco?

Post by rico thunder » Tue Jul 13, 2004 1:44 am

Please please feel absolutely free to march in to Costco anytime, preferably in the early morning. See I usually go to bed before midnight because BRC nights bore Hell out of me since they stopped burning and blowing up shit willy nilly at all times. So that means I am ready to arise near sunrise while my campmates who've spent the night being E-tards until dawn are still sleeping. I think an honest to god marching band would be a very sweet alarm clock, an excellent way to say Get the fuck up you lazy motherfucker, it is time to get to WORK!

Trombone?

Post by jazzcakes » Thu Aug 19, 2004 3:13 am

Hey!

I'm a professional trombone player, and a BM virgin.

I'm staying with Pancake Playhouse, but I'm looking for playing opportunities. Would love to play with your band. Perhaps we could rock the breakfast... lol

I'd be happy to memorize some stuff.
Come on... you know you need more trombone in your life.
